About

Why this site exists

I couldn't burp for most of my life. For years I didn't have a word for the bloating, the gurgling, and the pressure after every meal — I just assumed it was normal. It wasn't. It was RCPD, and it turned out to be treatable.

After a single Botox injection, I burped for the first time. The symptoms that had quietly shaped my eating habits and social life for years mostly went away. The hardest part of the whole journey wasn't the treatment — it was finding out the condition existed and had a name at all.

This site is my attempt to shorten that road for someone else. Everything here is free, has no ads, and asks for nothing in return. The goal is simple: help people recognize the symptoms, understand the science, and find a doctor who can help.

What you'll find here

With thanks

This site stands on the shoulders of the r/noburp community, the clinicians researching RCPD, and the volunteers who built the doctor list. The anatomical illustrations are by u/natalie_uic, and the original doctor directory was compiled with help from u/karybrie.

I'm not a doctor, and nothing here is medical advice. It's the resource I wish I'd had — a starting point for a conversation with a qualified professional.
